Comic books and graphic novels have been associated with children or superhero stories forever, but just because they are mostly pictures, it doesn't mean that they aren't mature. Some of the most popular or darkest movies come from comic book stories, such as 300 and Sin City. However, more and more fans are realizing the potential of dark comic books, as more TV series are adapting these iconic stories.
