When a video game is successful, the next natural step is for it to get DLC and a sequel after that. This has happened for some of the biggest game franchises, such as BioShock and Resident Evil. However, it isn't always smart to double-dip, with some video game sequels turning into disasters that ruined the legacy of the first, such as Duke Nukem. But other times, fans are blessed with an improvement over something they didn't know could be improved.
