Horror history can't be discussed without mentioning the best slashers. In the decades since the genre's conception, slashers have remained consistently popular and influential, becoming perhaps the most recognizable subgenre within all of horror today. If it weren't for some of these bloody good thrill rides, our current pop culture would be drastically different, unrecognizable had slashers never even existed.
